Nobel Peace Laureate Wangari Maathai’s story tells of the hummingbird refusing to be daunted by a raging forest fire. When all other animals were overwhelmed and powerless, the hummingbird acted. Drop by drop, it brought water to douse the flames, telling the others, “I am doing the best I can!”

In similar spirit, Kazana does its best to showcase and amplify the exemplary work of unsung East African women entrepreneurs and artisans.
