Kazana celebrates Karla Duarte for paving a way for women and girls through the Girls! Camera! Action! program, created by the San Diego based non-profit organization, Animate a Way. The program provides a platform for youth to bring awareness to pressing social concerns through filmmaking.

Karla has been a passionate supporter of KAZANA and has used her access and influence to create awareness about the creative works of the Maasai women of Amboseli. Through her efforts, the story of the hummingbird has been shared with more people and the Kazana hummingbird bracelets have adorned more wrists.
