The men of Amboseli, Kenya, have organized a grand celebration for their mothers, wives, daughters and sisters.

Amboseli Women’s Day, slated for March 24, is shaping up to be an event of note. This is the first time the community is dedicating a special day to celebrate and appreciate its phenomenal women.

According to the event’s chairman, “On Amboseli Women’s Day, we want mamas to sit back and be publicly showered with extra praise, affection and attention by community members. It is an opportunity to let women know that we appreciate who they are and what they do every single day.”

The celebration is open to the general public.
